What is Shiatsu?

Clue: It's not a dog!Shiatsu is a body treatment/massage that originates in Japan. In Japanese it literally means "finger pressure" although practitioners use thumbs, hands, elbows, feet and sometimes knees to stretch and treat a patient.Shiatsu balances the qi or chi (aka life energy) promoting better holistic health as it treats the mind, body and spirit. Usually performed on a futon on the floor whilst the receiver is clothed. We follow energy lines called Meridians throughout the body and specifically addressing acupressure points.We have a very similar 3 year training to a person learning acupuncture. We are very similar except we use our body to treat rather than using needles. The outcome is often similar.

Massage with DoTERRA oils

This treatment incorporates Shiatsu with a more traditional massage using oils. For over a decade I have been using DoTERRA essential oils as it is a brand that I trust because of their purity of oils and humanitarian ethos. I use these oils in a bespoke way with my clients after a quick consultation to find out more about their holistic health status. This massage is performed on a heated (unless it is summer) massage table and is deeply relaxing.

Life Coaching Services

Transformational life coaching helps an individual shift their mindset, opens them up to new ideas and ways of looking at life. It encourages them to explore the possibility of changing their habits/limiting beliefs and behaviours that are no longer serving them so that they can live a life that has more direction, clarity and purpose.It takes work on the part of the individual and a modicum of bravery as change isn't for the faint hearted. TC dives deeply into self awareness including emotional blockages and negative self talk, looks into what might be holding a person back in health, relationships and/or career.The result can be: Improved confidence, clearer focus, lightness of being and a deeper understanding of self.Packages available upon request
